As of April 7th, 2025 the IPF has revoked their approval of the Rigor Mortis Knee Sleeve. The IPF will allow Athletes to continue using the Rigor Mortis Knee Sleeve at IPF competitions until 18th August 2025. The IPF currently states that after the 18th of August, Rigor Mortis will not be permitted in any events sanctioned by the IPF or its regional or national affiliates. We are actively working to receive a response from the IPF as the IPF have reviewed and approved the Rigor Mortis knee sleeves for competition in October 2022 between the periods of 2023 through 2026. We are working diligently to address this concern. A7 stands committed to helping all Athletes and fight for their ability to have a choice in their equipment selections.
How to put on your knee sleeves:
- Fold the top and/or the bottom of the knee sleeve to the outside.
- Put the sleeve on. Once you get to the calf, put your fingers (no thumbs) inside the bottom of the sleeve in a hook-like position. Your fingers should be wedged between your leg and the knee sleeve. Pull the sleeve up until the sleeve is over your knee joint.
- Optional (if the knee sleeve is still too low): Put your fingers (no thumbs) inside the top fold of the sleeve in a hook-like position. Your fingers should be wedged between the two layers of the sleeve. Pull the knee sleeve up.
- Unfold the top and the bottom of the sleeve and straighten the wrinkles.
